Annual gas safety programme

Smith & Byford will deliver our annual gas safety programme of all council-owned gas appliances and gas pipework, within our properties. Their team of engineers will ensure we meet the legal requirements to help guarantee resident safety and that all tenants have efficient and maintained heating systems.

Smith & Byford will also carry out repairs to all Waverley-owned heating systems, managed improvement programmes and boiler/equipment renewals.

Smith & Byford offer:

  • Flexible appointments, tailored to the resident (AM, PM, 1st call, avoid school run etc)
  • Automated appointment booking and reminders: Text messages sent 10 days, 72hrs and 1 day prior to appointment to encourage booking confirmations 
  • Joint appointments with neighbours, family, Waverley, their RLO etc.
  • £50 prize/draw funded by them, for residents allowing 1st access
  • Easy booking options: (phone, live chat, booking app etc.) promoted in all letters.

Resident booking app

An online booking portal will be available to Waverley residents, enabling you to book or amend appointments (up until 4pm the day before) and speak to the team. Each servicing letter will contain a unique QR code which you can scan into your phone, automatically directing you to the online booking system.

What does this cover?

All council-owned gas appliances and gas pipework, within our properties.
