Plan B COVID-19 restrictions ends in England

Office closure

The Burys is open to the public for pre-booked appointments if you need to see a council officer face-to-face. Please make an appointment with the relevant team. If you visit The Burys without an appointment, we will try to offer one but this may not be possible.

Car parking charges and enforcement are as normal.

Tennis courts and ball courts (MUGAs)

Waverley managed tennis courts and ball courts (MUGAs) are now open.

Skateparks

All Waverley-owned skateparks are now open.

Site visits, the Planning Reception service and Householder surgeries for pre-application planning advice are suspended, in line with the government's rules on social distancing.

We are using video conferencing to facilitate Planning Committee meetings. See Council meetings for more details.

From 7 May 2021, Council, Executive and Committee meetings will be held in the Council Chamber at the Waverley Borough Council offices in Godalming.

Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, space in the public gallery will be limited, so we would advise watching meetings via Waverley Borough Council's YouTube channel.

Housing services will prioritise the immediate health, wellbeing and safety of local residents, particularly the vulnerable, in line with the main objective.  

Maintenance 

Tradespeople can continue to work in council homes with COVID-19 restrictions in place, however, you must advise us if you are shielding, self isolating, have symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19.  Operatives will have PPE, keep socially distanced and wipe down surfaces they have touched.  Please keep your distance, wear a mask, open windows and where possible stay in another room while work is completed in your home.

Lettings and mutual exchanges

Home moves can continue with COVID-19 restrictions in place, however, you must advise us if you are shielding, self isolating, have symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19 during the move process.  Please keep your distance, wear a mask, open windows and where possible be in another room while viewing homes.

Home visits

The Housing Management Team will only visit in exceptional circumstances for emergency or safeguarding concerns. The Housing Management team are still available to talk to. Please contact the Housing Customer Services team on 0330 119 3000 or housingcustomerservices@waverley.gov.uk.
