Search planning applications

You can use the planning applications website to: 

  • view current and historic planning applications by using a keyword, reference number, postcode or single line of an address
  • comment on any current planning application
  • search any Environmental Impact Assessments or Statements using the keyword 'Environmental'.

Can't access the system?

The planning applications website is only available from the UK and Ireland. Restricting the GeoLocation of visitors protects the site by reducing the malicious traffic which has been actively affecting the site's performance.

If you are trying to get to the site from work and your company routes internet traffic through another country, you will not be able to access it.  You should try it outside your work network.

Historic searches

If you can't find a planning application online, please email or call 01483 523583 with full details of the information you need.  We will send you the plans you need electronically if available.

You can order hard copies of official documents.

  • Decision notices and other standard documents - £21.50 each
  • Photocopies of plans (A3 and A4 sizes) - £1.25 for the first sheet, then 45p per sheet
  • A0 plans: £28.00 per copy
  • A1 plans: £23.50 per copy
  • A2 plans: £16.00 per copy
  • A3 plans: £12.00 per copy
  • A4 plans: £8.50 per copy

We may not be able to copy older applications due to copyright restrictions.

Plans, drawings and material submitted to Waverley Borough Council, as part of a planning application, are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act).

You may only use material which is downloaded or printed for consultation purposes. Further copies must not be made without prior permission of the copyright owner.
