Parks during coronavirus - from 4 July

All our parks and playgrounds are open.

Please act responsibly and observe social distancing measures when you are out and about, especially in playgrounds:

  • avoid play area if busy
  • keep over a metre away from anyone outside your household
  • wash your and your children's hands before and after visit and use hand sanitiser
  • do not remove any temporary barriers to the playground or unravel any swing seats or cables that are secured.

About parks and countryside

The Parks and Countryside team manage approximately 1300 hectares (ha) of parks, recreation grounds and open spaces across the borough and a further 50 ha of amenity land within housing estates.
