Waverley residents reminded of support available during Covid-19

Published Tuesday, 27 October 2020

If you are a Waverley resident and have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, there is help available to you.

We have allocated just over £56,000 to local organisations working in the heart of the community to ensure the funds will be spent where they are needed most.

The money, part of a £63 million grant for local authorities in England, has been designated to help those who are struggling with not only food but other essentials such as school uniforms, cookers or bus fare to interviews due to Covid-19.

Depending on the organisation, applications need to be submitted through or supported by a community partner such as the council, head teacher, social worker, health professional, Citizens Advice or can be submitted direct.

To find out what support is available and how to apply, please visit our Community Organisations page or phone our helpline on 01483 523204.
