Remembrance Sunday in Waverley

Remembrance services to commemorate the fallen servicemen and women of the two world wars onwards will take place across Waverley on Sunday 12 November.

The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Simon Inchbald, will attend the Remembrance service at his local church, St Mary’s Church in Chiddingfold.

Meet at St George’s Church for a service, then to the War Memorial at 10.50am.



From 10.55am

Meet at the War Memorial




From 9.30am

There will be a service of Remembrance at St Mary’s Church, then the laying of wreaths at the Village War Memorial.



From 9.30am

There will be a service at St Nicolas Church followed by a parade and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial.


Ewhurst From 10.50am Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial, followed by church service in the Parish Church.


From 10.45am

Meet at the War Memorial for 10.45am. At 11am, everybody will pause for a two-minute silence which will be followed by the laying of wreaths.

After the service there will be a march and the morning will conclude with a service at St. Andrew’s Church.



From 10.15am

A parade will march off at 10.20am. Anyone wishing to join the parade should be at Waverley Borough Council’s car park at 10.15am prompt.


A ceremony will be held at the Phillips Memorial Park by the War Memorial at 10.50am. A service of Remembrance will follow this ceremony in the Church of St Peter and St Paul at 11.15am. 




Beginning with a service at St John’s Church then to the War Memorial at 10.45am. There’s also a service for all ages at St Mark’s Church at 11.15am.




There is a Remembrance service at St Bartholomew’s Church followed by a procession to the town War Memorial for the civic service.




A service will take place at the War Memorial followed by refreshments in the Village Hall.
