Willmer House campaign opens new ways to donate - Every brick counts!

Waverley Borough Council has been thrilled by the incredible support for its Buy A Brick campaign to restore the historic Willmer House. Thanks to the community’s generosity, we’re one step closer to preserving this treasured building for future generations.

We understand that not everyone is able to donate £50 or more, and we want everyone to feel part of this important project. That’s why we’ve introduced two new ways to contribute - you can now make a donation of any amount through our website by selecting the “Buy a Brick” option on our webpage www.waverley.gov.uk/every-brick-counts using the reference “EveryBrickCounts” or you can donate in person at the Museum via a special Buy a Brick donation box.

While these donations won’t include a name on the commemorative plaque, every contribution - big or small - helps us protect this piece of Farnham’s heritage.

Councillor Kika Mirylees, Waverley Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Services, Leisure and EDI, said:

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our community so far. But we know that not everyone can give £50 or more, and we want everyone to feel they can be part of this journey. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us preserve Willmer House for future generations. This is about community spirit and shared heritage - and we’re so grateful for every single supporter.  Together, we’re building something truly special.”
