Richard Miller: Ceramist in Focus

Location: New Ashgate Gallery New Ashgate Gallery, Wagon Yard/Lower Church Lane, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7PS, United Kingdom

A leading figure in British ceramics, Richard Miller is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. His work draws on historical patterns and the complex narratives of British colonialism, creating ceramics that are both technically accomplished and thought-provoking. Alongside his role as a judge on The Great Pottery Throw Down, Richard runs Froyle Tiles, producing bespoke work for architectural projects including 24 Savile Row and the Tate St Ives pavilion. This special exhibition opens during Farnham Craft Month in October and offers collectors an opportunity to acquire new studio pieces. Richard's ceramics are distinguished by their attention to detail, surface texture, and narrative depth - each work is a testament to the skill and storytelling at the heart of contemporary British ceramics.
