Waverley staff shortlisted in the Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence

We are proud to announce that members of Waverley Borough Council's Local Land Charges (LLC) team have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2023 Land Data Awards for Excellence. Nina Wahlberg and Rowan Hopper have been nominated for the Unsung Hero and Best Newcomer awards respectively.

The Unsung Hero award recognizes individuals or teams that strive to make the search process for land and property as seamless as possible. The LLC team at Waverley Borough Council manages thousands of land and property searches each year, making them an essential part of the home buying and selling process for residents. The winners of the award will be announced at the Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence on March 28th, 2023.

The Best Newcomer award celebrates new members of staff who have made a significant impact on team efficiency and culture. The winner will be announced at the same event, with other award categories including Customer Satisfaction, Local Authority Searches Team of the Year, Best Performing Migrated Local Authority, and Best Performing Local Land Charges Department.

Fiona Barron, Chief Executive of Land Data, said: “Local Land Charge teams are the unsung heroes of the home buying and selling process – often going out of their way to supply essential information that could affect the future use or development of a property. During these difficult economic times acknowledging achievement and recognising excellence in the profession, is more important than ever".

Dr Nina Wahlberg, Acting Local Land Charges Team Leader for Waverley Borough Council, said: "The team is delighted that our hard work and commitment to our customers has been recognised in this way".

Congratulations to the LLC team at Waverley Borough Council for their well-deserved nominations.
