Built environment professionals across Guildford and Waverley are being encouraged to take advantage of free access to Meshwork, an online community helping the sector build, retrofit and manage buildings more sustainably.
Supported by Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council, local businesses can currently access Meshwork membership free of charge, giving them access to expert-led webinars, practical learning resources and a growing network of sustainability professionals.
Meshwork brings together architects, consultants, installers, estate managers, developers and other professionals working across the built environment. Through live and on-demand content, members can access practical continuing professional development (CPD), learn from industry experts and connect with peers facing similar challenges.
Over the past two months, local businesses have already benefited from a number of sustainability-focused webinars and shared learning through the platform. The webinars are delivered by award-winning architects and engineers sharing valuable insights for designing and creating sustainable homes and buildings, that are valued by the community for their ongoing professional development.
Recent webinar topics have included, amongst others, such topics as designing for heat, retrofitting buildings and low carbon small projects.
The sessions offer practical insight into issues including overheating, building performance, deep retrofit, adaptive re-use, low-carbon construction and heat pump technology.
