We offer a special collection service for large household items, such as sofas, beds, washing machines, fridges etc..

We can collect:

  • sofas
  • armchairs
  • dining tables
  • dining chairs
  • garden furniture
  • lampstands
  • wardrobes
  • bed bases
  • mattresses
  • headboards
  • lawn mowers (without fuel)
  • disconnected fridges, freezers, cookers (but not the large American style fridges/freezers or range/Aga cookers)
  • washing machines
  • vacuum cleaners, ironing boards, irons
  • carpets (rolled up)
  • most other domestic items.

We cannot collect:

  • heating systems, doors, kitchen units, bathroom suites, fitted wardrobes
  • asbestos
  • garden sheds and garage doors
  • builder's rubble 
  • wood
  • doors
  • very heavy items like heating oil and water tanks or pianos.
  • glass panes or doors
  • vehicles, trailers and tyres
  • waste in black bags
  • items over 8ft in length, including ladders
  • American style fridges and freezers
  • Aga or large range cookers

Trade waste

We do not collect trade waste. Visit the Surrey County Council website to find out how your business can recycle or contact a private company that offers this service.
