Waverley Mayor steps up to raise money for charity

Published Tuesday, 3 March 2020

The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Mary Foryszewski, is inviting residents to join her on a sponsored walk on Sunday, 22 March 2020 along the North Downs Way to raise money for charity.

Working in partnership with Surrey Hills Society, the Mayor will be embarking on the 11 mile walk, from Guildford to Farnham to raise funds for her chosen charity, Mane Chance Sanctuary and to raise awareness of male mental health.

The route will start in Guildford (location confirmed on registration) with an extended coffee break at Watts Gallery, Compton where the Mayor will talk about her chosen charity and participants can learn more about the gallery and then either continue the walk or stop there.

Participants can take their own picnic lunch with them or join an afternoon tea at the end of the walk hosted by the Mayor of Farnham at Farnham Town Hall.
