20 December Flooding

Published Friday, 20 December 2019

Flooding caused by heavy rain has affected parts of the Waverley borough, including Godalming and Elstead.

River levels have been rising on the Upper River Wey as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Levels are particularly high in the Elstead and Eashing area with the potential for isolated property flooding.

Showers are forecast overnight (20 Dec) with the potential to be heavy at times, with flooding of roads and farmland expected to continue.
