Remembrance Sunday In Waverley

Remembrance services will take place across Waverley on Sunday 10 November.

The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Mary Foryszewski will attend the remembrance service at St Nicolas Church Cranleigh followed by wreath laying at the War Memorial.

Bramley

Remembrance service at the War Memorial in the centre of the village.

Chiddingfold

9am

Parade from the Village Hall to St Mary’s Church, Chiddingfold, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 9.30am. At 11am, a wreath laying and Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial outside St Mary’s Church followed by a Reception and Community Affiliation event with HMS Chiddingfold at the Village Hall.

Cranleigh

Remembrance Service at St Nicolas Church attended by the Mayor of Waverley followed by parade to the War Memorial at 10.35am with wreath laying at the Memorial from 10.55am

Ewhurst

10.45am

Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial followed by a Civic Service at the Parish Church at 11.15am. 

Farnham

10.45am

A Remembrance Service at Gostrey Meadow War Memorial with laying of wreath.  Followed by parade past Town Hall on South Street ending at St Andrew’s Church for a service. The Farnham Mayor will be holding a Civic Service at Farnham Town Council afterwards.

Godalming

9.45am

A Service of Remembrance will take place at St Peter & St Paul Parish Church at 9.45am, followed by a ceremony at the War Memorial in the Phillips Memorial ground at 10.55am.

The Parade will then reform to process along Church Street and the High Street before continuing to Great George Street and The Burys to the disperse point at Waverley Borough Council car park. The Mayor of Godalming will take the Salute by Angel Court in the High Street.

Haslemere

Parade from St Bartholomew’s Church, Haslemere finishing in a Remembrance Service at The War Memorial, Haslemere

Milford

Act of Remembrance including wreath laying at Milford War Memorial outside St John’s Church followed by service inside

Witley

Remembrance Service  at 10.15am inside All Saints Church, Witley and then wreath laying at War Memorial on Petworth Road at 11am
