Looking for local activities and events to enjoy as a family during the Easter holidays? From the big screen to the great outdoors, these are just a few of our highlights…
Out and about for Xplorer
Xplorer is a fun and educational challenge for families, giving children a sense of adventure as they explore the park to find the markers. It involves a healthy mix of physical activity and decision making that the whole family can enjoy together.
Using a simple map, the aim is to find a number of markers that are located around the park. At each marker children need to identify what is pictured and enjoy learning a fun fact to tell their friends.
Upcoming Xplorer events:
Broadwater Park, Godalming (15 April)
Snoxhall Fields, Cranleigh (15 April)
Farnham Park (16 April)
A golden chance for an Easter egg hunt
If you’re in the mood for more exploring, Waverley’s leisure centres are running golden Easter egg hunts. Each site has hidden 10 golden Easter eggs around their town each with prizes inside them.
Further Easter competitions will be taking place at each of the leisure centres across the Easter period.
A big screen adventure at the Borough Hall
Godalming Borough Hall cinema is showing two action-packed family films during the Easter holidays…
Fantastic Beasts – The Crimes of Grindelwald is the much-anticipated sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. When rumour has it that Gellert Grindelwald is heading to Paris, a young Dumbledore enlists the help of former student, Newt Scamander, to stand against one of the most dangerous wizards of all time.
And it’s a kids’ holiday special for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2, with all tickets at kids’ prices. Six years after the events of Wreck-It Ralph, the arcade’s unlikely (and reluctant) villain-turned-hero is back on a brand-new adventure with his best friend Vanellope von Schweetz.
