The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Denise Le Gal led the official opening of 24 new homes at Wey Court, Farncombe this week (Monday 29 October 2018).

The collection of high quality new homes at Wey Court, designed by Godalming based Nye Saunders Architects and built by contractors Thakeham Client, is the latest in Waverley’s Affordable Homes Delivery Plan, an ambitious programme to meet housing needs in the borough.

Consisting of 14 1-bedroom flats, eight 2-bedroom flats and two 2- bedroom houses, and built on the site of the former Wey Court sheltered housing scheme,  each of the homes offer attractively designed red brick outer walls  with clay roof tiles and timber effect weatherboarding. The homes are also energy efficient, so tenants will save on their heating, hot water and electricity bills.

A short ceremony and refreshments sponsored by Thakeham Client were enjoyed afterwards at Godalming Naval Club.
