Want to support local businesses while picking up gifts and treats?
Good news! Waverley Borough Council is, once again, teaming up with Hoppa to offer free bus journeys across the borough in the run-up to Christmas. This initiative aims to make it easier for residents to shop local and support our high streets.
Free travel will be available in Farnham, Godalming, Cranleigh and Haslemere between 9.30am and 2.30pm, Monday 15 December to Wednesday 24 December.
Please note: this offer covers trips to your nearest local high street in one of these four centres (e.g. Hale to central Farnham or Milford to Godalming).

Councillor Liz Townsend BEM, Waverley Borough Council's Portfolio Holder for Planning and Economic Development, said:

For those driving, the council has been trialling a new "Pay One, Stay Two" scheme, developed in collaboration with Farnham BID, Godalming BID, and Cranleigh BID, which offers visitors a second hour of parking at no extra cost when they purchase a one-hour ticket on Wednesdays. In addition, the council also recently introduced a special Christmas parking offer in Farnham to support local businesses during the festive season. Christmas Parking Farnham | Waverley Borough Council.
This is part of a broader strategy to support local businesses and make town centres more attractive to shoppers and diners.
Additionally, Waverley is also offering free car parking after 2pm in Waverley Borough Council car parks on select dates across the borough:
Godalming (already taken place)
Farnham - 27 November from 2pm
Haslemere -11 December from 2pm
Cranleigh - 23 December from 2pm
