Evidence we used

Our evidence studies:

Consultation

We consulted residents, partner organisations, and other stakeholders in January and February 2022. Their responses have been taken into account and are reflected in this document.

The Equality Impact Assessment is available on request, please get in touch.

Homelessness Strategy

The Homelessness Strategy was approved by Council on 12 December 2023.

Homelessness Strategy 2023-2028

The strategy outlines how we, with the help of our partners, will tackle homelessness in Waverley until the end of 2028. Each year we review our progress in delivering the strategy with help from our statutory and voluntary partners and feedback from customers.

Tenancy Strategy and Policy

The Tenancy Strategy and Policy was approved by Council on 30 June 2022.

Tenancy Strategy 2022 - 2025

Tenancy Policy 2022 - 2025

Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils are asking council and housing association tenants to share their views on a new Tenancy Strategy, which will guide how affordable housing is managed across both boroughs over the next decade.

The strategy sets out how the councils and housing providers will work together to ensure that affordable homes are managed fairly, consistently and in a way that meets local housing needs. With affordable housing in short supply, it is vital to make the best use of every home, providing for those who need it most while supporting strong and stable communities.

The consultation is open until 26 October 2025. Residents can respond online.

Housing Asset Management Strategy

The Housing Asset Management Strategy was approved by Council on 26 April 2022.
