Neighbourhood inspections

What is the purpose of the neighbourhood inspections?

We are pleased to announce that neighbourhood inspections will commence in January 2026.

Our dedicated Community Estates and Development officers will be conducting comprehensive inspections throughout our neighbourhoods to ensure our communities remain safe, well-maintained, and pleasant places to live.

During these inspections, officers will:

  • Assess the condition of communal areas including walkways, green spaces, and shared facilities.
  • Identify maintenance issues such as street lighting, drainage, signage, and street furniture.
  • Monitor environmental concerns including litter, fly-tipping, and overgrown vegetation.
  • Check for any health and safety hazards that may need addressing.
  • Document the overall appearance and cleanliness of the neighbourhood.
  • Gather feedback from tenants about local concerns or improvement suggestions.

Who can take part in the inspections?

We believe that neighbourhood inspections work best when they are a collaborative effort. We warmly welcome:

  • Tenants and Leaseholders – Your input is invaluable in identifying issues and priorities
  • Local councillors – We encourage Councillors to participate and engage directly with the community
  • Community groups – Anyone interested in improving our neighbourhoods’

How can I take part in the inspections?
