What information do you hold about me?

We will collect various information about your business. This data will include, but is not limited to:

  • your contact details
  • website address
  • size of your business
  • sector of your business.

How do you collect this personal and contact information and how do you use it?

By signing up to the Waverley Business e-newsletter or training courses, participating in a business survey or attending one of our events. This includes contacting you about forthcoming events or initiatives which you might either have expressed an interest in, or which we think you might want to know about.

If we don’t need your personal information, we will either keep your details anonymous, if we already have it for another service or we won’t ask you for it. If we use your personal information for research or analysis, we will always keep your details anonymous or use a pseudonym.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone else.

The legal basis for using your information

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 1998, we must have a reason to collect and use your information. This will be:

  • to check the quality of our goods and services
  • to help with research and planning of new services

For this service that reason lies under Article 6 (a) – consent, where you, or your legal representative, have given consent for us to process your personal data.
