3G mobile network switch off due by end of 2025

Mobile providers have gradually been switching off the 3G networks, moving to the more reliable 4G and 5G.

O2 is the last mobile provider left to complete the switch, and will be done by the end of 2025. You will be contacted if you are affected, but if you have an older mobile device, you may need to replace it.

The 2G network is also being switched off, but is not due to complete until 2033.
