Waverley Borough Council awards leisure contract to Everyone Active

Waverley Borough Council is delighted to announce that following a full tender process Everyone Active, has been awarded the new Leisure Management Contract for Waverley’s four leisure centres for ten years.

The new agreement, beginning on 1 July 2023, will see leisure facilities specialists, Everyone Active, manage Cranleigh Leisure Centre, Farnham Leisure Centre, Godalming Leisure Centre and Haslemere Leisure Centre.

The partnership will allow Everyone Active to build on the current leisure offering, with a focus on fitness – up to £30million has been sidelined for investment into the leisure centres, extending the facilities for the growing health and well-being needs of the local community.

Multiple gym refurbishments and extensions, to expand and modernise the facilities will be delivered. This includes brand new, state-of-the-art gym equipment worth £2million, extended fitness studios, new weights areas to meet the increase in demand for this style of training, and much more.

The partnership and upcoming improvements aim to support the council's vision for leisure across Waverley by providing attractive facilities available to the whole community which contribute fully to the health and wellbeing objectives of the Council.

The council would like to take this opportunity to thank Places Leisure for their partnership throughout the current contract term but it is looking forward to the opportunities this new contract presents.

Councillor Kika Mirylees, Waverley Borough Council's Portfolio Holder for Health, Wellbeing, Parks and Leisure, said: “We take the health and wellbeing of our residents very seriously. The new contract has a real focus on the Active Communities Programme which will provide a range of leisure and wellbeing services to our residents.  We look forward to working with Everyone Active.”
