Check bin collection day

Rubbish, recycling and food waste

Our contractor, Biffa, will be carrying out collections over the Christmas and New Year period 2025 to 2026, however, there will be changes to your bin collections.  

Please see the table for full information.

Please present your bins at 6am on your revised collection day.

Garden waste

There will be no garden waste collections from 22 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.

Clinical waste

If you need to order a clinical waste bin on an ad-hoc basis, please note that our offices will be closed from 2pm on Wednesday 24 December and will reopen at 8.45am on Friday 2 January 2026. To avoid any disruption, please ensure you have enough bins for your medical waste during this period, or contact us in advance if you require waste collection over the festive break.

Pink bin collections for small electrical items for communal flats only take place weekly as follows:

  • Tuesday - GU7 / GU8
  • Wednesday - GU27  / GU26
  • Thursday - GU4 / GU5 / GU6
  • Friday - GU9 / GU10

Our crews are scheduled to collect your rubbish from specific areas each week within Waverley.  
The week of your collection depends on where you live.  Your collection will either happen on the week 1 or week 2 schedule.

  • return to this webpage
  • open each calendar (week 1 and week 2) link shown above, until you find the date you noted for your next collection.
  • download or print the calendar
