Residents are being invited to help shape the future of three play areas in Farnham and Haslemere as Waverley Borough Council seeks feedback and ideas from local communities.

As part of its ongoing programme of improvements to play facilities for children and young people across the borough, the council is consulting on the future of:

• Middlefield Play Area, Farnham

• Oak Cottages Play Area, Haslemere

• Border Road Play Area, Haslemere

The consultations will gather feedback on the current play facilities and help inform the designs for new and improved play areas at each location.

The consultation programme builds on the success of previous play area projects across the borough, where feedback from residents helped shape the final designs and equipment choices. The improved facilities have provided modern, inclusive and engaging spaces for children and families, reflecting the needs of local communities.

The council is encouraging residents, families and regular users of the sites to share their views and help ensure the new play areas are shaped by the people who use them most.

All three consultations close at 6pm on Sunday 9 August.2026.
