Enterprising Women workshops begin

An “Enterprising Women” series of workshops is now rolling out across Waverley’s four main settlements, with each session exploring key topics that women in business consistently identify as both essential and challenging.

The programme covers finance, AI and emerging technologies, social media, and practical start‑up guidance, with each workshop delivered in depth by sector specialists.

The first workshop took place today in Godalming, delivered by Liana Fricker from Inspiration Space. The series will also work with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Surrey Networked Women.

The workshops form part of Waverley’s wider commitment to fostering a supportive environment for female entrepreneurs - an area where the borough already has a strong foundation.

Participants are also signposted to IncuHive’s business support services and Seedl’s online training, helping to strengthen opportunities for ongoing learning.

The next events are:

  • 12 May – Farnham Maltings, 10–12pm, with FSB’s Tracey Carter and the Surrey Networked Women
  • 19 June – Coppa Club, Haslemere, 10–12pm, with Fay Sharpe, Fast Forward 15
  • 15 September – Cranleigh Arts Centre, with Kat Rack, Selling Savv
