Fly-tipping
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste.
If you see fly-tipped waste on a road or council-owned land, report it online and include photos if possible. We aim to clear reported fly-tips within three working days, although this may take longer if the waste contains hazardous materials such as asbestos.
If you hire someone to remove waste from your home or during building or DIY work, make sure they are a licensed waste carrier. You could be held responsible and face a fine if your waste is fly-tipped.
If you are carrying out DIY or home improvements on your property, please ensure you use a licensed company or you could receive a fine if we identify a fly-tip is yours.
