Pay online

You can pay for your garden waste subscription:

  • once a year
  • by Direct Debit, which renews automatically each year

How to set up a Direct Debit

Before you set up a Direct Debit:

  • Account name length
    • The bank account holder name can be up to 18 characters, including spaces. This is a limit set by BACS. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your bank card or statement.
  • Bank checks
    • Our provider will check your account details. Not all banks share data for these checks. If you cannot set up a Direct Debit, contact your bank. You cannot use some accounts, including:
      • Starling Bank accounts
      • some Barclays accounts
      • If this affects you, use a different account or pay by card.
  • Joint accounts
    • If more than one person needs to approve payments, you cannot set up a Direct Debit online. You should pay by debit or credit card instead.
  • Portal account
    • If you do not already have one, you will be asked to create a Waverley Portal account. This lets you:
      • manage your subscription
      • add bins
      • transfer or cancel your service
      • access other Waverley services
