What is the LSAB?

The Landlord Services Advisory Board (Executive Working Group) is a key housing governance and oversight group at Waverley Borough Council.

It focuses specifically on council landlord services and acts as an advisory and scrutiny body, helping to ensure services are effective, transparent, and responsive to residents. The Board also plays an important role in supporting tenant involvement and accountability.

What does the LSAB do?

The Board helps to monitor and improve housing services by:

  • reviewing housing performance (including repairs, complaints, and anti-social behaviour)
  • providing challenge and scrutiny to officers and services
  • supporting tenant engagement and involvement
  • feeding into policy development and service improvements
  • helping the Council meet regulatory expectations, including those set by the Regulator of Social Housing (such as transparency and tenant satisfaction standards)

Who sits on the Board?

The LSAB is made up of a mix of:

  • councillors
  • tenant representatives (where applicable)
  • Council Officers, as non-Board members

This ensures that decisions and discussions reflect both professional oversight and the experiences of residents.

Meetings and how to get involved

Can I watch the meeting?

Yes, LSAB meetings are usually open to the public.

Residents may be able to:

  • attend meetings in person (subject to space and council arrangements)
  • watch meetings online where webcasting is available

Please check the meeting page for details on how to attend or view each session.

Why this matters to you

The LSAB ensures that your voice as a tenant is reflected in how housing services are reviewed and improved. It provides a clear route for accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
