Waverley Borough Council launches new learning solution in partnership with SEEDL

Waverley Borough Council has announced the launch of its new learning solution, which offers all Waverley businesses and their employees, free access to unlimited learning on a range of courses.

Employees can choose either 60-minute webinars or 20 minute ‘micro’ sessions to fit in with their schedules and can choose from a range of subjects including Sales, Customer Services, Mental Wellness, Leadership and many more.

The webinars are uniquely all live interactive webinars, allowing users to make a date to learn on a flexible basis, accessing webinars at a time to suit them. As the webinars are interactive, users can communicate with the facilitator meaning they get the most out of their learning experience.

Waverley Borough Council’s learning solution is amongst the first of its kind around the UK and is launched in partnership with SEEDL, a world pioneering ‘Virtual Live Learning Subscription Service’. Joanna Nash who is SEEDL’s Chief Learning Officer said, “SEEDL has grown rapidly since its launch and we’re really excited to do more to support local economies. Our partnership with Waverley Borough Council is really going to be game-changing for businesses in the area. SEEDL and Waverley Borough Council will help users learn and develop new life skills. SEEDL and Waverley Borough Council will help retain employees plus tempt new employees to their businesses. With learning being such a key part of candidate attraction and retention, we’re delighted to help these local businesses have a competitive edge.

Waverley Borough Council’s learning solution launches on 18 November and users will be allowed to sign up to the service for free. You can have a look at their courses and find further information by visiting Home - Waverley Business Training Hub.

Councillor Liz Townsend, BEM, Waverley Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Planning and Economic Development, added: “We’re proud to launch this innovative learning solution for Waverley businesses and their employees. By providing free access to high-quality, interactive training, we’re helping local businesses strengthen their teams, improve skills, and stay competitive.
