This Love Parks Week (24 July – 2 August), we're celebrating the beautiful parks, countryside sites and greenspaces that make Waverley such a special place to live, work and visit.
From peaceful riverside walks and picturesque parks to nature-rich commons and recreation grounds, our greenspaces provide places for people to relax, connect with nature, stay active and enjoy time with family and friends.
This summer's hot, dry weather has brought challenges for our parks, but our dedicated Rangers and council teams have been working hard to care for Waverley's green spaces and keep them looking their best.
We're also incredibly grateful to the many volunteers, community groups and "friends of" organisations who generously give their time throughout the year. Their hard work helps keep our parks welcoming, supports local wildlife and makes a real difference to communities across the borough.

Whether you're enjoying a lunchtime stroll, meeting friends, exercising, playing with the family or simply taking a moment to unwind, there's never been a better time to get out and enjoy Waverley's wonderful green spaces.
So this Love Parks Week, take some time to explore your local park or greenspace and celebrate the vital role they play in supporting nature, wellbeing and our communities.
A big thank you to everyone who is helping to keep our greenspaces safe and enjoyable by avoiding barbecues and bonfires, disposing of litter responsibly, and doing their bit to protect these valued community spaces for everyone to enjoy.
