We’re proud to be supporting Legend on the Bench with the installation of a Suicide Prevention bench at Phillips Memorial Park, Godalming - a special bench created for anyone who needs it.

Legend on the Bench is a suicide prevention charity that places benches in communities to offer comfort, hope and reassurance to anyone who may be struggling with their mental health or feeling alone. Each bench carries a powerful message: someone is always listening.

This bench features a solar-powered glowing light, shining gently as a beacon of hope, along with plaques and a QR code linking to vital support services available day and night. It’s a quiet, welcoming space - somewhere to pause, breathe, and know that support is always close by.

Waverley is committed to supporting wellbeing across our communities, and we’re pleased to help bring this meaningful initiative to Godalming. Whether you’re having a difficult day or simply taking a moment in the park, this bench is here for you and for anyone who may need it.
