Waverley Borough Council was notified of a traveller incursion, made up of around 42 caravans and motor homes, at Heath End Recreation Ground, Farnham on Thursday 13 July.
On Friday 14 July council officers visited the site to carry out the necessary checks and served a Notice of Direction to leave the land.
Bins and toilets were provided. Some caravans have now left the site however some remain. The council is following the legal process to apply for an order Under Section 78 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 for the removal of the travellers and their vehicles from the land.
The council can confirm that an additional incursion came to Farnham Park on the evening of Sunday 16 July. Officers are currently on site serving a Notice of Direction to leave the land. Officers estimate there around 30 caravans on the site.
Once the caravans leave, the council will arrange a clear up operation for both sites.
