Swim for free in Waverley

Under eights and over 80s can keep fit and healthy with free swimming.

Waverley is continuing to offer free swimming at its leisure centres to the under eights and over 80s for over a year after the national scheme ended.

The latest extension to the borough scheme means free swimming is available at our pools in Godalming, Cranleigh, Farnham and The Herons in Haslemere until the end of December. We are offering the scheme in partnership with DC Leisure for general use, lane and family session times at the centres it operates in the borough.

The free swimming for over 80s and under eights was initially provided as part of a nationally funded scheme but although the national scheme stopped last summer, we've continued to provide it in Waverley since then, thanks to the operators of our leisure centres, DC Leisure.

During the school holidays, this scheme means families with young children can enjoy Waverley's pools to feel the health benefits of swimming for less. Swimming can also be an excellent and enjoyable way for older people to keeping active.

To take advantage of the scheme, you will need to be registered, which you can do at any of our leisure centres. Details of how to do this and the identification you will need to provide are available online.

The scheme currently runs until 31 December 2011.
