Register for a shared ownership home with Waverley Borough Council

You can apply for a new shared ownership home through Waverley Borough Council.  Please read the information below and, if you think you are eligible, apply to join the Shared Ownership Register.

Once you are on the register, we can offer you new shared ownership properties as they become available.

We are building new homes in Cranleigh and are planning to build more throughout Waverley in the next few years.

Are you eligible?

You buy a share of your home (between 25% and 75%) and pay rent on the rest.

You can buy a new home through shared ownership if your household income is less than £80,000 and any of the following apply:

  • you’re a first time buyer
  • you used to own a home, but can’t afford to buy one now
  • you’re an existing shared owner.

How to apply

Fill in the online form to apply to join our Shared Ownership Register.  You will need to answer a few questions to determine your eligibility.  If you are eligible, you’ll be able to submit the form.

The form takes about 20 minutes and you will need to have information such as details of your income and any savings, National Insurance number and name and address of your current employer and landlord (if applicable) to complete it.
