The Deputy Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Mary Foryszewski, officially opened a new community hub at Rowleys Centre for the Community in Cranleigh today (Tuesday 19 June).
Waverley Borough Council has invested £50,000 into refurbishing the hub, as part of its ongoing support to the Rowleys Centre. In addition to the refurbished community space, for groups and local businesses to hire, there is a community office space, a new, well-equipped hairdressing salon and information wall.
Anybody representing a club, society, local business or any group with an interest in hiring The Community Hub is welcome to call in to see the new facilities at an open evening on Wednesday 27 June, between 6pm and 9pm.
The hub will also be open during the Lions Carnival, on Saturday 30 June, for anyone wishing to find out more about what is on offer at the venue.
Rowleys also wants to hear from hairdressers who are looking for salon space or to start a new business. Anyone interested can contact Rowleys on 01483 277155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
