Shamley Green conservation area

Designated conservation area: 1973

Shamley Green lies around five miles south east of Guildford and the village surrounds a large irregular shaped green.

The green is quite exposed and flat with little or no trees.

There are a number of good quality listed buildings surrounding the green.  In more recent years, residential infilling has taken place beyond the conservation area which detracts slightly from the visual appearance of the conservation area on the west side of the green.
