  • Historic Haslemere

    An exhibition which reveals the fascinating history of Haslemere, told through beautifully-illustrated story boards, where visitors will be taken on a journey about the history of the town.

  • Trifarious

    Formed in 2012, ‘Trifarious’ has established a reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative ensemble committed to the championing of new music and developing the next generation of young composers.

    At their disposal at the five sound-worlds of clarinet, saxophone, violin, viola and piano in any combination and recent commissions include works by award-winning composers Edmund Jolliffe and Barbara Thompson MBE (ITV’s ‘A Touch of Frost’). The trio will be premiering a new work by Stephen Goss at the Guildford International Festival 2019.

    Recent concert highlights include performances at the International Festival Viroria-Gasteix, Spain and The Bilbao Festival, as well as performances thrghout the UK. The ensemble’s commitment to education has included a recent new collaboration with the Royal Academy of Music presenting composition and performance workshops with students from both the junior and senior departments.

    In 2017, Trifarious hosted workshops with the composition students at the University of Surrey, as well as adjudicating their annual composition awards. The trio have been working with Cranleigh’s A-Level Composition students this academic year and the results of this collaboration will be performed as part of their programme.

  • Volunteering at Farnham Park

    Assist us with the management of this historic deer park.

    Volunteer sessions take place every Wednesday morning from 9:30 – 12:30 to assist in the management in this historic deer park. Meet at 9.30am at the Farnham Park ranger’s office next to the main car park on Folly Hill (GU9 0AU), or check site noticeboards and meet at the work location at 10am.

    Dates and tasks are subject to change – please check with site noticeboards or the ranger beforehand by calling 01252 717047. Sessions led by Nick

    Vegetation cutting: We will clearing paths of overhanging vegetation. Meet at the Cross Bench.

    Wednesday 27 February

    Cutting vegetation: We will be thinning saplings to allow those remaining space to fully develop. Meet at the ‘old Oaks (south of Motorway Bridge).

  • Volunteering at Frensham Common

    Volunteer sessions take place every Wednesday from 10:00 – 15:30, apart from the second Wednesday of the month where the session will instead be at Mare Hill Common.

    Unless otherwise specified, meet at 10:00 at the Frensham Pond visitor centre, Bacon Lane, Churt, GU10 2QB. Sessions led by Darren.

    Pine pulling: Today we will be halting the spread of small pine saplings by manually removing them from the Common. We will be having a fire and burning the pines on site.
