|Cooling tower notification|
Cooling towers and evaporative condensers can be the cause of outbreaks of Legionnaire's disease, which can result in serious infection and sometimes death.
You have a duty (under the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992) to notify the local authority if you are have cooling towers and/or evaporative condensers at your premises.
The exception is if these don't contain water that is exposed to air and/or the water or electricity supply is not connected.
You must notify us, regardless of whether the business is enforced by Waverley Borough Council or Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Please contact the Environmental Health Customer and Technical Support Team on 01483 523393 or by email: email@example.com.
There is no fee for notifying us.
We'll add the notification to the public register. We won't need to contact you unless we need you to clarify something. If you haven't heard from us within 28 days of the receipt of the notification, the registration is complete.
