Repairs for Waverley leaseholders

For Waverley leaseholders

We provide a repairs service. The work we do is outlined in your lease. As a general rule this includes repairs that relate to the building but does not include repairs to the inside of your property.

Leaseholders pay a proportion of the cost of repairs, maintenance and management of this.

We also maintain the guttering, drainage, soakaways and communal lighting, and replace roof tiles where necessary.

Leaseholders are responsible for their flat (as described within the property description within your lease).

Anyone in the building may report a repair, whether they are a leaseholder or a tenant. If you notice that something needs repairing, please report it to us as soon as possible. The Repairs team will need precise information about what needs doing. When you report a repair, we will ask if you want an appointment and, if so, our contractors will arrange a mutually convenient time.

Report a repair

Occasionally, we have to do major work to the building where your flat is. This could be, for example, redecoration, re-roofing, drainage repairs.

We will formally consult you before doing any work (except in an emergency) that is likely to cost you more than £250. We will send you a specification and an estimate of the cost. We will consider your comments. In some cases, you can put forward a contractor to quote for the work. The actual cost will appear in your annual service charge account.
