Who can join in?

To represent Waverley at the P&G Surrey Youth Games, young people must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Live or go to school in Waverley
  • Not have competed at County level or above in their chosen sport
  • Be born between the dates given in the table above
  • Be available to compete on the tournament dates
  • We suggest you also check the 'more info' section of your chosen sport to check if there are any other restrictions that may apply to you as each sport has its own rules.

If you do not qualify for Waverley, please visit the Surrey Youth Games section of the Active Surrey website for more information.

How do I know if I live in Waverley?

If you pay council tax to Waverley Borough Council, then you live in Waverley.

If not, then you can represent another borough in the Surrey Youth Games. Please visit the Surrey Youth Games section of the Active Surrey website for more information.

When are the P&G Surrey Youth Games?

The games themselves are on the 15 and 16 June 2013, but we will be running training sessions for up to eight weeks before then, excluding half term and Bank Holiday Mondays.

What training is offered?

We offer up to eight weeks of free training in your chosen sport. Training will start on the week commencing 15 April 2013. **This excludes Swimming and Judo, for which we are holding trials**

There is no guarantee your child will be selected in the final squad to represent Waverley at the P & G Surrey Youth Games. In some cases it may be necessary to cut squads down during the eight week training period. Coaches decision of selection is final.
