If you have a disability and would like to make Waverley a better place for disabled people to live and work in, as well as visit, why not join the Disability Forum.

What is the Disability Forum?

The Forum is a pro-active group made up of local disabled people and carers. It is fully supported by Waverley's senior staff and councillors. The forum has a 'can-do' approach and makes real changes to people's lives.

Improvements

We now have disabled access to all our offices, and our Godalming and Farnham offices also offer the hearing loop service. You can find out more about what the Forum has achieved here.

Innovations

An awards scheme to encourage shops and businesses  to consider disabled customers is launching soon. Shops who already have good access for those who are disabled will be able to display an accreditation mark demonstrating they value disabled customers and take their needs into account.

Why bother joining?

You can really make a difference to the lives of diabled people by joining the Disability Forum and offering your ideas and feedback on how Waverley delivers its services and other issues such as travel and healthcare.

When: Thursday 29 April 2010
