Help us decide where 5,000 new homes should be located in the borough? Complete the Housing Options consultation and have your say...
We are required by the South East Plan to provide 5,000 new homes in the period 2006 to 2026.
We have identified five possible options on the provision of these new homes and we would like you to tell us which you prefer, or if you have any other suggestions on where best to locate them.
When does the consultation take place?
The Housing Options Consultation runs between 27 January and 31 March 2010. It is a simple questionnaire that will take a only few minutes to complete.
Where can I find more information?
Consultation documents and supporting documentation of varying technical complexity are available online including:
- a non-technical summary document setting out the options and containing the questionnaire
- a comprehensive background document outlining more detail and technical information concerning the housing options
- a glossary of relevant terms
- supporting documents, including the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment or SHLAA
How can I take part?
You can complete the consultation online from the Housing Options Consultation page or pick up a hard copy of the questionnaire from the council offices. We have also set up a dedicated Facebook Group for the
Waverley Local Development Framework (LDF).
Why should I take part?
Deciding how and where to locate 5,000 new homes in the borough is a key challenge for Waverley and we are keen to hear the views of anyone who has an interest in the borough.
