Pay for it

Pay by direct debit

Direct debit is the simplest method of payment. It will save you time and is the most convenient and cost effective way of making regular payments.

Direct debit payments are taken directly from your bank account.  You will be advised at least 10 working days in advance of any changes to your instalments so you can remain in complete control of your bank account.

You can make payments for the following services by direct debit:

Council tax

The easiest way to pay your Council Tax is by direct debit.  You normally pay in 10 monthly instalments, from April to January each year.

To set this up, please call us on: 01483 523500, between 8.45am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This avoids delay and having to fill in any paperwork.  Please have your bank account number and sort code available when you ring. These can be found on your bank statement.

You can also download and fill in the Council tax direct debit form.

Want to pay in 12 instalments instead?

For 2013/2014, you can now pay by 12 instalments instead of 10. Please call us on 01483 523500 by 15 April 2013 if you want to request this.
