Town and Parish Councils Elections
Elections for Town and Parish Councillors
All seats on the 20 Town and Parish Councils, within Waverley, come up for election at the same time as the Borough. There are a total of 194 seats over the towns and parishes.
The current councillors were elected in May 2011 and remain in office until the next election which is May 2015.
What if a councillor resigns?
If a councillor resigns during office the vacancy is advertised. An election can be requested by 10 electors for the area.
If an election is not called then the town or parish can co-opt a resident onto the Council.
