Waverley Borough Council has started on a new scheme to provide more high quality affordable homes for local people in Cranleigh.

The two x 2 bedroom homes are being built by Mountjoy Ltd on part of the car park adjacent to 77 Sherrydon, to the north east of Cranleigh village centre.

Councillor Carole King, Portfolio Holder for Housing, said: “Affordable homes are needed across the borough and particularly in rural areas. The Sherrydon scheme brings the number of affordable homes we have started this year to 47 and we are continually looking for opportunities to provide more, either directly, or in partnership with other affordable housing providers like housing associations.”
