Parks and open spaces information

The Parks and Landscape Section manage approximately 650 hectares (ha) of parks, recreation grounds and open spaces across the borough and a further 50 ha of amenity land within housing estates.

A variety of facilites are freely available within these sites, including over 60 play areas, 5 skateparks and a range of ball courts and sports pitches.

The trees, shrub beds, grass, sports pitches and playgrounds within Waverley's Parks & Open Spaces are maintained by our contractors, Glendale Managed Services Ltd.

Holding an event?

Our open spaces are available to hire for a variety of public events, and have traditionally hosted such things as village days, funfairs, fireworks displays, hot air balloon launches and open-air concerts.  Please contact us for more information.
