Can you help with conservation projects in the countryside? Find out about our volunteering opportunities this Autumn...

Everyone from 16 to 80 is welcome. No experience is needed as full training will given. Tea and coffee will be provided along with tools and gloves!

We organise work parties help with on-going weekly projects and specific events.

Godalming area

Phillips Memorial Park

Phillips Memorial Park, 10am to 12.30pm, Wednesday mornings except for the third one in the month, as well as Tuesday 30 October 2012.

Work will include scrub removal, coppicing, hedge and tree planting, weeding and looking after a Jekyll planting scheme. Volunteers should meet at the Phillips Cloister, off Bridge Road.

Broadwater Park

Broadwater Park, 10am to 2pm, on the third Wednesday of the month.  As a new venture, founder volunteers are needed to help shape the future of the park. Meet at Broadwater Ranger's Office.

Willow Woods

Willow Woods, off Long Gore, Farncombe, 10am, Saturday 27 October and Sunday 28 October.

Volunteers will be cutting back brambles and carrying out conservation tasks in the community wood. Meet at Ashley Court flats, Long Gore.

Farnham area

Farnham Park

Farnham Park, 10am to 12.30pm every Wednesday and monthly on the last Sunday of the month.

Various tasks are carried out across the park.

Frensham Great Pond

Frensham Great Pond, 9am, every Wednesday.

Volunteers carry out tasks across the area site throughout the day. Meet at the Ranger's Office.

Cranleigh area

Blackheath

Blackheath, 10am to 3.30pm, every Thursday.

A wide variety of tasks are carried out, including removing invasive species, bridleway and footpath maintenance and litter picks. Meet at the main village car park.

Downs Link

Downs Link - long distance bridleway between Shalford and Baynards.

Join Ranger Ed Baker every Wednesday working on the old railway line through Bramley and Cranleigh.
