New service
From 16 April 2012, we're introducing an improved recycling and refuse service across Waverley.
New wheelie bin for recycling
Everybody will receive a new wheelie bin for their recycling. You will be able to add cardboard, foil, tetra packs, and other materials, as well as the materials you can already recycle from home.
You won't need your black recycling boxes after 16 April. You can choose to keep them or have them taken away.
Weekly food waste collection
We'll also be expanding our weekly food waste collection to include every property in the borough. Find out more about the food waste collection service.
What will stay the same
You will keep the wheelie bin you already have for all other waste.
The bins will continue to be collected in an alternate weekly system, with the exception of food waste which is collected once a week.
New bins from February
The new recycling wheelie bins, as well as food waste caddies in areas not already covered by food waste collection service, will start being delivered from February onwards.
Delivery to all households in Waverley will take up to six weeks.
