Residents and interested parties are invited to give their views on the Godalming and Farncombe Neighbourhood Plan from Friday 19 October.
Neighbourhood Plans give communities the opportunity to decide what their town or village should look like and how it should develop and grow in the future.
Godalming Town Council resolved to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan in 2013 and has now formally submitted the document to Waverley Borough Council.
Residents and interested parties will be able to view and comment on the plan and supporting documents for a six week period, until 11.59pm on Friday 30 November.
The document will be available to view at www.waverley.gov.uk/GodalmingNP and hard copies will be available to look through at the planning reception at the council offices in Godalming and at Godalming Library.
Comments can be made at www.waverley.gov.uk/GodalmingNP, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to the Planning Policy Team, Waverley Borough Council, The Burys, Godalming, Surrey GU7 1HR.
