It was gold, silver and bronze for Waverley’s young people at the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games that took place on 23 and 24 June.
A total of 136 young people, across 18 teams of girls and boys from schools in Waverley, in 13 different sports, represented the borough at last weekend’s games. Between them they won two gold medals in the boys judo and junior boccia, a silver medal in high five netball, and bronze medals in senior football, boys judo and contact boxing.
As well as scooping up six awards, Team Waverley was also presented with second place for the Fair Play Award.
